PREFACE
This is only a stock reduction sale but feels like a funeral. The final goodbye to something or someone you cherished. We knew for the last five years this day was coming but tried to prolong the inevitable event. When you sit with birds getting old and underutilized the decision must be made. This year 2024 will mark our 50th year of active participation in the sport.
The similarities of the circle of life comes to mind and is very applicable to the sport. You grow up. You finish school and find a job. The girlfriends, wife and sometime wife’s and children follow. Then the accumulation process starts in all seriousness. Then one fine day you realize that you have to reverse the whole process until it is you alone again with you Creator who started the circle.
We have been very blessed in the sport and had good achievements throughout the years. Even though we are now in the last quarter of the race, the race is still very much ongoing. We will keep on trying for gold until the last strike out. Sometimes we also stumble and then you hear some chuckles but our motto has always been be the best you can be. Trust your birds.
Our wishes are that the new owners will be blessed as we were. That the birds give them much joy and that every fancier in the sport gets to share the pie in 2024 season. The ego of man sometimes prevents us from really enjoying the sport and contributes to our dwindling membership. Our feathered wonders must never be the cause of bad friendships. They symbolize peace.
