Herewith some more info on the pigeons going up for auction on Saturday @ Heidelberg pigeon club, here are some top pigeons on the auction going for an absolute steal.
Even though it was a shorter series it turned out to be one of the toughest races with extreme heat on race day the winner is an absolute gem of a pigeon that showed guts and determination to make it home when the temps were still in the mid 30’s, a pigeon that handles great and who does not love a grizzle!
The pigeon that flew 2nd is bred from two top 100 MDPR final race finishers out of two great lofts, her nest mate is also on the auction! If you look at the pedigrees of the pigeons up for sale you will find many that is bred from proven OLR genetics or from pigeons that either themselves or their close relatives have scored high in olr races.
For you that is planning to have pigeons in the next summer race and might have a few Rand spare here is the opportunity to buy pigeons that made it to a tough final and made it back with a shortened race program.
I am confident that we will see some of these ring numbers again in the next few years in the pedigrees of the next generations of top performers at summer races or even on the finals of the winter races as well.
These pigeons did not have it easy as they were relocated to the new venue and started training later so they can take the pressure and still excelled even with all the odd’s stacked against them!
